2016 Peninsula Women's Chorus Season Tickets for 2016-2017

2016-2017 marks the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Peninsula Womens Chorus. During this landmark season, we give song to the ideas and aspirations that make up who we are, and celebrate the ties that bind us, bringing us home.

A 50th anniversary season is a milestone for any arts organization, a testament to its vitality, endurance, and relevance in its community. For many of us in the PWC, the range of our endeavors the breadth of imagination our singers and audiences have explored, and the diversity of experiences and worldviews weve been exposed to is almost overwhelming. It feels like a vastness that mirrors eternity in its scope because it has enriched us so.

We are proud to be fearlessly entering the second half of a century, looking to the future as we honor our past. We are proud to have pursued our mission of creating and performing diverse, dynamic, and adventurous music for womens voices for five decades. And we are humbled by and grateful for the enormous dedication and passion of current and past singers, audience members, donors, volunteers, Boards of Directors, conductors, accompanists, composers, and collaborators.

As poet Sara Teasdale says in Erik Eenvalds' Stars, which opens our season: "I am honored to be witness of so much majesty."

Fifty years later, we are still making waves.
