DESCRIPTION:
Join us for a building construction tour of 101 Coleman Boulevard. The site features a new 42,000 square foot Class A office building overlooking Shem Creek and Coleman Boulevard including two stories of office and two stories of structured parking. The building's design incorporates the use of precast concrete, allowing for a faster construction schedule in order to minimize the impact on neighboring businesses. Make sure to join us next door at Red's Ice House for appetizers after the tour.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
Attendees will understand the precast design and build process from conceptual design to forming the panels to precast staging and erection.
Attendees will observe how precast panel joints are sealed to maintain a weathertight building envelope.
Attendees will understand the challenges of constructing a building while minimizing the impact on neighboring businesses.
Attendees will observe the installation of various building components including PVC roofing on concrete deck, metal stud framing, curtain wall and vinyl windows.
