BBQ on the Bend - Competition for a Cause!

The 1st Annual BBQ on the Bend Competition will be held on Saturday, September 17th. Cookers will begin smoking their meat Friday evening and the gates will open to the public at 11am on Saturday, the 17th. The event will be held at the riverside campground & parking lot of Reeling and Rafting at 265 Ferry Street in Scottsville.

This year's beneficiary is the Dixie Youth Baseball League and funds raised will help to provide much needed safety equipment and field repair.

We are expecting a crowd of around 500+ for the riverside festivities and we will have live music throughout the day, food, beer and cider vendors as well as some of the most delicious bbq around for attendees to taste and judge!

This is a peoples' choice competition so you will determine the winner.!. We are keeping it simple this year and cookers will present their finest pulled pork for you to judge. The grand prize is $1000 and 2nd place will be $500.
