For the second year in a row, we took a trip to Casa Herradura to hand-select single-barrel double reposado to serve in our restaurants. They are hard-to-find, but these twice-aged barrels show just how beautiful and unique tequila can be. Think of it as bourbon drinker's tequila!
This year, we have not one, but two single-barrel double reposados: Pinché Guy, which is medium bodied and floral and Luchadores, that has more edgy, toasted flavors. Come try them out alongside ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT TACOS (shrimp, catfish, and ceviche) with sides.

FLIGHT:
REPOSADO simply means "rested." This particular reposado is a blend of between 800-1000 barrels aged for 11 months. It has bright golden amber hues, medium body with good legs, citrus notes of lemon and orange, and mineral notes of agave. Light toast and biscuit favors go well with very light vanilla tones and a touch of buttered popcorn.
PINCHé GUY is named for our friend and agave expert, Guy Leone who introduced us to Herradura. This double reposado is the color of pale honey with a clear, golden edge. You'll notice aromas of earthy sweetness, wood, caramel, and fermented pineapple. The taste is crisp and smooth with level flavor. A hint of cinnamon spice and caramel reminds us of bananas foster!
LUCHADORES is our more edgy double-reposado, so we named it after Lucha Libre (we also happen to love wrestling and always go when we're in Jalisco). The color is brilliant and strong. Aromas of leather and wood dominate with background notes of grilled corn, mint, and bubblegum. On the palate are flavors of toasted nuts, cinnamon, grilled pineapple, & dried tropical fruits.
