ABOUT BIC CARROL
International revue producer, choreographer, costumer.
At the age of seventeen, Bic got his first choreography job at the Riptide Club in Calumet City, IL where he staged shows around personalities such as Sally Rand and Redd Foxx. During this time Bic also met and became good friends with a teenage Tura Satana while she worked next door. He trained with the legendary traditional Asian dance and modern dance instructor, Kim On Wong.
At eighteen he became the producer/choreographer for the Follies Burlesque Theater in Chicago, IL, where he produced, costumed and choreographed a weekly revue. He first learned comedy from star comics, Scurvy Miller, Redd Foxx, Lenny Bruce, and Frank Fontaine.
Bic moved to Paris at the age of twenty-one, working at the Chez Noir in a totally nude revue and is considered to be one of the first male striptease stars. His signature act consisted of seductive striptease accompanied by two live boa constrictors, both of which were gifted to him by the late, great Burlesque Legend, Zorita. He went on to work at House of Illusions in Hamburg, Germany. He was brought back to America to become the featured dancer at the Latin Quarter in New York City.
Mr. Carrol has since produced and starred in award winning Vegas style revues worldwide for over fifty years. His WoW revue performed in the Playboy Club circuit for over three years. He represented the U.S. government at the independence celebration for the Republic of Suriname in South America. He also received a special award from 8th Army in Korea while filling in for Bob Hope as Christmas entertainment to an audience of 5,000 troops.
Bic was also trained as a costumer by the Burlesque costumer Tony Midnite. His work has been seen in almost every major casino in Las Vegas: Ringling Brothers Circus, Siegfried & Roy, etc. Bic has headed his own costume department for both Ice Capades as well as Legends In Concert. Mr. Carrol won the Las Vegas Costumer of the Year Award twice.
