WCLN Women's Equality Day Mixer
Join Women's Community Leadership Network for a mixer celebrating our local elected women as we commemorate the 96th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th amendment granting women the right to vote in the U.S.A.
Congresswoman Jackie Speier will speak and introduce Phyllis Gould, an original "Rosie the Riveter."
It will be held Friday, August 26th at 5:00-6:30 p.m. at KitchenTown in San Mateo.
Tickets are $20 online and $25 at the door. Assorted appetizers provided. No host bar.
This event is presented in collaboration with the San Mateo County Commission on the Status of Women and sponsored by KitchenTown.
KitchenTown is a relatively new, fresh, and fun food experience on the Peninsula with a comfortable café in the front and back-of-the-house food production space that forms a community of innovative food start-ups, half of which are owned by women.
Womens Community Leadership Network is a non-partisan, non-profit organization that educates women on public policy and community issues and equips women with the skills to seek appointed and elected positions. We accomplish this by offering training, mentoring, networking opportunities, and policy forums.
The Commission on the Status of Women of San Mateo County is an advisory body to the Board of Supervisors on womens issues.
