Description:
The sidereal calendar is the worlds most astronomically accurate calendar yet it is humanity's oldest calendar it was in use during the times of the Pharoahs in Kemet. All calculations are based on the Helical rising of the Sirius Star. The Dogon people use the sidereal calendar to provides us a way to recover our perception of space and time. It is a guide for living a spiritual existence in the legacy of their grand ancestors. They chartered the rhythms of the Sirius Star and measured the effects of the smaller cycles within the Great cycle and related it to their existence on earth. Their extensive knowledge of astronomy and time division serves as an oracle.
Today the Dogon live in many countries in West Africa. They are seen as the Kemetic people who, during the times of invasion, migrated so that their culture and spirituality could be kept pure. They are one of the most studied cultures in the world and are often known among academia for their knowledge and astronomy and their link to the Sirius star.
Dogon are comprised of many different bloodlines that represent the elite of the Pharaonic society. Dogon bloodlines include the families of Naba (healers/priests), Woba (farmers), Yonlis (guardians of the kingship), Kediou (builders), Mende (blacksmiths), etc. These bloodlines are found in tribes such as Gourmantche, Chibisi, Dogomba, Farafara, Sonike, Germa, etc.
The Dogon once lived in the Nile Valley but migrated inland during the invasion around 400 BC. Today, the Dogon can be found living by the bend in the Niger River. The name Dogon comes from the word dogou, which means land. The Dogon are considered the landlords of Africa and their culture aims at preserving the Earth and everything that lives on it. The Dogon culture has remained uninterrupted since the time of the Pharaohs.
The Earth Center is the unified form of the Temples and Nomes of the Nile and Niger River Valley region, also known as Kemet. It is a spiritual organisation and is not religious, it is not-for-profit and non-governmental. Its purpose is to promote the well-being of all people by educating humanity about the Kemetic culture, which is the original model for all other cultures around the world. The Earth Center opened its doors in the U.S.A. in 1998 when Dogon High Priest, Master Naba Lamoussa Morodenibig, began initiating students in Chicago, Illinois.
After Master Nabas transition his son Naba Iritah Shenmira took over his work and has continued to move the Earth Centers mission forward.
