Herbalism 101: Roses
Come learn the mysteries and practical uses of roses and make your own rose treats and remedies. Well head down to the Food Forest roses and talk about rose lore and herbal uses, then proceed to a meditation on the plant while you learn about making Flower Essence Remedies. Afterwards, well make some other remedies and culinary treats, including rose petal honey; bring a jar to take home your petals to mix with honey. As a bonus, the Food Forest has offered to let us dig up some rose plants for participants to take home to their own gardens. This class is geared towards the over 12 crowd or children who are able to enjoy a many hour class. Class will happen rain or shine. Come prepared for the weather and bring your water bottle. Snacks to share are welcome!
