Experience the fun and freedom that follows when you jump and fully give in to the falling. In this workshop, participants will reconnect with the fun of playing and learn to apply various techniques from both theatre and improv to fully connect, make strong choices and own their work. If you want to learn how to attack your scenes with abandon, to feel more fully, do more and fail victoriously, this workshop is for you. This advanced improviser workshop is for Advanced Improv students and performing improvisers. Don't miss this opportunity to work the super-dee-duper talented and big-hearted Kristina Smarz!
About Kristina Smarz: Currently a member of ImprovBostons Mainstage, Kristina has over 20 years of experience performing, as well as directing and teaching those of all ability levels. She first joined IB in 2004 as a member of Theatersports and has since then performed with the Touring Company, Mainstage, Face Off and various showcase shows such as Slainte, Girls Night Out, LuvBoat, Gorefest and Spice, which she directed and co-produced. As writer and producer, Kristina was a founding member of the Ruckus and Boston News Net. She also has a handful of local commercial and theatrical credits to her name, is a member of the Improv Asylums NXT cast, the Majestic Theaters in-house troupe the Majesters and is pretty handy with a pneumatic nail gun. Kristina has a BA in Theater (and English) and has studied at ImprovBoston, ImprovAsylum, Williamstown Theater Festival, numerous workshops and tends to talk to strangers.
