1:00-4:30 Seminar: The Evolution of Tile and Stone Installation
COST: $45 for professionals, $25 for Students

LEARNING OBJECTIVES - THE EVOLUTION OF TILE AND STONE:
Attendees will understand the Tile Council of North America (TCNA) recommendations on how to select and specify the right ceramic tile or stone product / installation procedures for the desired application including the methods utilized for waterproofing, crack isolation and sound attenuation.

Attendees will understand the selection process of the grout material including the differences in standard and high performance latex modified cement grout, standard vs industrial grade epoxy grout and the new choices of single component grouts.

Attendees will gain a thorough understanding of the "common mistakes" made in selecting and specifying inappropriate ceramic tile and stone products which could result in failures and litigation, and how to clearly specify installation products with the characteristics required for each installation.

The attendees will witness a "hands-on" demonstration of an actual ceramic tile / stone installation, gaining an understanding of the expertise and skills needed to install the product.
