April 29 Concert in support of Healing Muses

Join us for the next in a continuing series of concerts in celebration & support of Healing Muses.

Featuring Muse Shira Kammen & clown/storyteller Jeff Raz performing the Arthurian tale "Sir Gawain and Dame Ragnelle, and Muse Margaret Davis with Broceliande playing Celtic music from the British isles and Medieval and Renaissance music of the European courts and countrysides.

The Boston Globe says Shira is "a wonderfully sophisticated and inventive performer on vielle and medieval harp.. an expert singer." Jeff Raz tells stories with his body and words. In addition to founding The Clown Conservatory and serving Cirque du Soleil as their Bay Area Casting Partner, Jeff is the Artistic Director of the Medical Clown Project. You may have seen Shira and Jeff in tandem at the Christmas Revels.

Broceliande is a west coast treasure. With an emphasis on music inspired by or traditionally performed during each of the four seasons, Margaret Davis, Kristoph Klover, and Kris Yenney create an entrancing sound built on the interweaving of up to 3-part vocals with the lyrical music of many instruments, including the Celtic harp.

Come for the music and in addition enjoy a silent auction of services and stuff, including: a lesson with a Muse, a one-hour therapeutic massage, and a restored fiddle! Plus homemade pies!!
