Theater history has given so much attention to an idea of "Delsarte poses", that it is rarely, if at all, known that Delsarte studied and taught principles of motion and movement dynamics. In this class we explore Delsarte's "Nine Laws of Gesture." : Altitude, Force, Motion, Sequence, Direction, Form, Reaction, Velocity, and Extension. You will see how all these movement qualities are born from specific internal conditions, and how they can inspire your creative work.
