Ladies for Liberty
Ladies for Liberty will be performing at the Mitchell Opera House on November 12, 2016 at 7pm. Ladies for Liberty is a singing group dedicated to performing the Andrews Sisters style of music through their own rendition of vocals, costumes, hairstyles and spirit of patriotism in the 1940s. Think back: It was a time when the spirit of patriotism was at its highest. World War II was just beginning and every American felt was a time when the spirit of patriotism was at its highest. World War II was just beginning and every American felt compelled to do their duty. Those who qualified joined the military to fight the enemy overseas. Women did their part by taking the factory jobs made vacant by their male counterparts. With a sense of unity, all Americans put their total effort into winning the war.
