Olympic Landscapes - the Green and the Greenest
Mary Margaret Jones, President and Sr. Principal of Hargreaves Jones Landscape Architecture will be giving a public lecture on the firms projects for the Sydney and London Olympics.
Jones has led a number of the firms award-winning projects around the globe, including the master concept design for the 2000 Sydney Olympics and the parklands for the 2012 London Olympics. Her talk at Dumbarton Oaks will explore the synergies and differences between these projects and what she and the firm learned about such spectacle landscapes from one project to the next. In addition to her Olympic projects, Jones has also led the firms work on the University of Cincinnati Master Plan, Crissy Field in San Franciscos Presidio, and Discovery Green in Houston, Texas. She is currently leading the design for Destination Bayfront in Corpus Christi, Texas, as well as a new seventy-acre Downtown Park for Oklahoma City.
