Learn the Magic of Cooking! Local Three brings you the Hogwarts of Cooking Classes! Instead wielding a wand, you'll use knives; and instead of learning spells and potions, you'll learn how to master the kitchen.
The Local Three team is hosting one cooking workshop each month, and our chefs will share their knowledge and skills with you. Coming up this year: Chef Hall will teach you about designing menus and take you shopping at a market, Chef Ben will dive into Home Butchery 101, Chef Gary will show you how to make irresistible pastries, and we've got so much more planned!
UPDATED: For our second class, Chef de Cuisine Ben Barth (in for Sous Chef Sean Newton) will teach you the basics of braising - cooking with dry and moist heat. You'll master braising techniques by cooking lamb, shrimp, and vegetables, which you will incorporate into the lunch menu:
- Salad of Spring Vegetables
- Colorado Lamb Shoulder with Spiced Lentils, White Wine Braised
- Georgia Shrimp with logan turnpike grits and braised radish & fava beans
- "Waffle Cake" with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, Strawberry Compote
After the class, you'll invite a guest to join you for lunch to enjoy all of the dishes you've worked hard on! You'll both enjoy beverages from Local Three's bar while you dine.
Only ten spaces are available for each class, and the ticket price includes the class, lunch for two (with booze), and a custom apron (plus tax and gratuity are included).
