Book Talk on "The Reason For Flowers" by Stephen Bachmann
Spend an evening with University of Arizona scientist and Amazon best-selling author Dr. Stephen Buchmann. Learn the hidden secrets of everyday and exotic cut blooms and Sonoran wildflowers. Buchmann will present an illustrated talk about the origins of flowers at the time of the early dinosaurs and how they may have played a vital role in our own evolution. Discover how flowers continue to influence the arts, literature, cooking, perfumes, and how they keep us healthy, happy and smiling. Buchmann has published over 150 scholarly articles, and eleven popular nonfiction trade books. The Forgotten Pollinators, co-authored with Gary Nabhan was a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize.
