WeeJam Playgroup

WeeJam Playgroup empowers children who are between the ages of 30 months and 5 years old to sing, move, play and create together in a small group mixed-age setting independent from their caregivers and under the guidance of an experienced music educator. This drop off class is ideal for 2.5-3 year olds who have outgrown the FamJam but are not quite ready for the Music Foundations Playgroup or for 4-5 year olds who enjoy play-based learning. While prior experience in Musicollaborative's FamJams or other courses is helpful, it is not required.

All sessions integrate vocal music, hand percussion and movement. In addition to group music making, time is allowed for instrumental exploration on the keyboard, drum set and miscellaneous percussion.

Note: The "Music in Motion" course for ages 6-12 meets at the same time in the adjacent studio for parents who would like a music-learning option for both siblings. Information on NOLA Timebank exchange, payment plans and limited tuition assistance are also available upon request.
