Sojoy with Special Guests Julie Hebb and Annex Contemporary Dance Company

Sojoy is back after much excitement over the release of their debut album in November: "one of the finest jazz recordings this area, and the world in general, has ever heard" (Portsmouth Herald). "On their exceptional debut, Sojoy brings Peiffer's visions to life and inspires our own" (The Sound).

This time Sojoy teams up with Julie Hebb and the Annex Contemporary Dance Company. Now based in Maine, Julie brings with her decades of experience studying, performing, teaching, and choreographing dance in New York and Boston, including at Boston Ballet, the Paul Taylor School, Joffrey Ballet School, and Rebecca Kelly Ballet, among many many others. Jonny Peiffer has been active in the dance scene on the Seacoast and beyond for over a decade and a half. This exciting collaboration brings his compositions to their fullest expression.

Annex Contemporary Dance Company is the newly formed resident dance company of The Dance Annex Studio located in Kittery, Maine. Julie Hebb, Artistic Director, brings over 20 years of professional dance experience to this event. Comprised of local dance professionals, ACDC aims to provide opportunities for movement artists in the area to perform, grow and flourish, and to continue to enrich local audiences, students and appreciators of the dance arts.
