Vision

This work will be a challenge to the dancer's preconceived notion that vision is imperative to maintain contact with your partner and execute clean lines of movement. It will be an exercise in trust for the dancers to let go and enjoy the movement they are presenting. This work will also be a method to bring awareness to those who are blind or visually impaired. For audience members it will be an opportunity to enjoy dance in a character building exercise that will have them holding their breath and sitting on the edge of their seat. The purpose of this piece is to present dance in a new and exciting way. Audience members should be captivated waiting for the next move to occur.

The performance will have 3 sections: 20 min discussion of the purpose and process in which the piece was developed. 15 min activity to experience the trust exercises that went into the creation of the piece. 10 min performance of the completed piece. 15 min question and answer session with the artists.
