Christmas in the New World
Come listen to this inspirational and moving concert the entire family can enjoy!
Our new director Ryan Tibbetts directs this 40+ member community chorale, now in its 9th year. Daniel Stipe is the organist and pianist.
The centerpiece is Carols and Lullabies by recently-deceased American composer Conrad Susa. The concert will also feature traditional carols by prominent American choral arrangers and composers, Alice Parker, Robert Shaw and Mack Wilberg, and a spiritual arrangement by an African-American composer and conductor André Thomas.
The Chorale will also perform music from both Colonial-era U.S. and Mexico by composers Supply Belcher and Juan Gutierrez de Padilla, and music by living composers, Mark Templeton and Eleanor Daley.
