Experience A Concert & Sensory Tasting In The Pitch Dark!
The Seattle Blind Cafe, is a mind bending / heart opening experience where the audience will indulge in a 'Sensory Tasting Experience', participate in a Q & A with their blind wait staff and enjoy a concert of original music by Rosh & One Eye Glass Broken...all in the pitch dark!
A delicious Sensory Tasting Experience will be prepared with love to delight your senses by our lovely volunteers. Your heart and mind will be opened as you embrace the poetry of Rick Hammond, celebrate the darkness with your blind waitstaff, while indulging in 'unencumbered music listening' without the distraction of visual conditioning, social etiquette & your cell phones!
This is NOT just a another dinner in the dark...it's a community experience where people connect, learn and grow from working together to participate in something greater than themselves. The Seattle Blind Cafe is designed to help you feel more alive, awake, present and connected to your world.
With the love and laughter of those at your table you will break bread together, building friendship and community on a night you will never forget or SEE! A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to help support the blind community in Seattle.
GENERAL ADMISSION: $55.00 - $95.00 Sliding Scale
We really care about making this event available to our community regardless of financial status and at the same time, paying our staff well and making a financial contribution to a local organization that improves the lives of the blind.
In order for us to continue our work, flourish and grow in a sustainable way as an organization & we need the majority of you to purchase tickets at the suggested cost of $55.00 & more!
Please pay what you can afford as we actually discount a 3rd of our tickets (see below) to people who otherwise could not attend.
By paying more than the suggested price of $55 or more, you are actually helping us to get others to this event who otherwise could not come.
So it's a cool system. :) Thanks for helping!

DISCOUNTED TICKETS:
We understand many of you at this time, can't swing the full ticket price. So... we have a limited number of discounted seats available so that no one person is turned away because of finances. If you would like a discounted seat to the blind cafe, please send an e-mail to us via the contact box to your right (or to: theblindcafe@gmail.com) and we'll hook you up with a special code at a price that works for you. Hi. Can you tell me more about the vegetarian and vegan options? I'm sensitive to cow's milk products (except yogurt and butter) as well as eggs and a few other things but I'm not vegan. I won't be able to work around what I can't eat if it's dark and want to make sure there are nutritious options.
