Editor of the renowned AV and Arquitectura Viva journals, and one of the world's top architectural critics and publishers, will give a public lecture at the NBBJ gallery during October's First Thursday Art Walk.

Luis Fernandez-Galiano is an architect, professor at Madrid's School of Architecture and editor of the journals Arquitectura Viva and AV Monographs. He writes on architecture for Spain's leading newspaper, El Pais, having been Cullinan Professor at Rice University, a visiting scholar at the Getty Center of Los Angeles and a visiting critic at Princeton, Harvard and the Berlage Institute. A member of the Royal Academy of Doctors, expert and juror of the Mies van der Rohe European Award, he has been on the jury of several national and international competitions. Among his books are La Quimera Moderna and Fire and Memory: On Architecture and Energy.
