Bach & Beyond Spring Concert

"Spring Concert" in the Marunde Ballroom. Featuring three Sonatas (Flute and Violin) with continuo by Johann Sebastian Bach. Lisa Goethe-McGinn, Flute, John Eckhart, Violin, Scott Will, Piano and Martine Benmann, Cello. Also included is the Piano Trio in C Major, K.548 by Mozart and an early Trio for violin, cello and keyboard by Haydn. The second half of the concert features vocalists Sandra Cross, Mezzo Soprano and Lee Lichamer, Baritone in selections from Cantece Populare and Rumanische Lieder, Op. 7 by Eusebius Mandyczewski, a Transylvanian composer who lived and worked in Vienna. Also featured are works by Schubert and Beethoven sung by the Bach and Beyond Chorus.

Bach and Beyond - Music for the Community, is a local concert series founded in 2001 for the Lincoln Square neighborhood and surrounding communities. In our seasonal concerts you can expect to hear everything from Bach and Handel to Mozart and Beethoven
