Plan to join us for our second mentoring conference! Once again, we will bring trainings you can use right away in your work.

Workshops for Directors, Development and Senior Staff: R U Ready for Money? (tools you can use or create to ascertain which grant opportunity is right for your organization);  The Art of Advocacy: Communicating with Government Officials (led by our board chair, Lt. Gov. Brad Owen); Navigating Legal and Tax Issues for the Non-Profit (this workshop is being led by a partner from one of the premier law firms in Seattle, Dorsey Whitney LLC); The Quality Movement in Washington (funders and providers will discuss how quality assurance is defining the future of youth serving organizations across the state); Understanding Program Successes and Challenges: Program Evaluation, Data Tools and Resources and Establishing Corporate Relationships...Looking Beyond the Money (it's good to have friends that care about your work).

Workshops for Supervisors and Staff: The Dream Project: Peer Mentoring and its Mutual Benefit Outcomes; Communicating with Clarity (If you want an amazing exercise in communication, this workshop will knock your socks off!); Youth Voice- Youth Work Methods (there is an additional cost of $10 for materials for this workshop); Breaking the Cycle of Trauma and Intra-Family Violence: Pt. 1 What is it and what can I do?; Pt. 2.Trauma is Contagious. Caring for Ourselves and others (this training informs how we work with youth who come to us with challenging backgrounds); American, yes! But also...; Mentor Mojo (a tool for training mentors how to communicate with their mentees around tender topics); Engaging Churches in Mentoring; Youth Adult Partnerships (how to build and strengthen lasting relationships.
