Carol Burnett's Sundance Theatre Lab Crew Jacket
Carol Burnett, famed comedienne, author and playwright has donated her Sundance Theatre Lab Crew Jacket, signed by Carol, to the Lake Worth Playhouse in honor of the opening of Hollywood Arms, the autobiographical play she co-wrote with her daughter, Carrie Hamilton.
Sundance is where Hollywood Arms 'found its legs,' and it holds a 'very special place in her heart.'
Sadly, Carrie Hamilton never saw Hollywood Arms reach the stage. She died of brain and lung cancer in January 2002. Burnett, determined that the play serve as a tribute to her daughter's memory, brought it to the Goodman Theatre in Chicago, where it was staged for the first time in April 2002.
A drawing for the jacket will be held on the Playhouse stage, immediately following the play's final performance on December 9th. Patrons do not need to be present for the drawing.
