BIOS
_____________
John Zorn is a musician/composer who lives and works in NYC. He consistently strives to present a wild, yet non-hierarchical, dynamic in the practice of improvisation, composition and ensemble playing. His works are multitude with recordings and performances ranging from basement hovels to the whiff of uptown heraldry. As far as we can tell he never misses a beat.

Thurston Moore is a tall and searching musician/writer and founder of NYC noise-rock experimentalists Sonic Youth who have been active since 1980. He edits the Ecstatic Peace Poetry Journal as well as Flowers & Cream Press. He approaches guitar and songwriting much in the same way he does poetry  with blindfolds and prayer.

Writer and media artist, LaTasha N. Nevada Diggs is the author of three chapbooks and one album. She is the co-founder of Coon Bidness/SO4 Magazine, a recent Create Change Public Artist in Residence, a Jerome Foundation Grantee and a Black Earth Institute Fellow. As an independent curator and artistic director, she has created literary/musical concerts for Symphony Space, Lincoln Center Out of Doors, BAM Cafe, and Schomburg Center for Black Culture. She is a native of Harlem.

erica kaufman is the author of censory impulse (Factory School 2009). Excerpts from her newest project, INSTANT CLASSIC are available in chapbook form from Least Weasel and Belladonna*, and online in Little Red Leaves and Elective Affinities. kaufman lives in Brooklyn and teaches at Baruch College and is a faculty associate of Bard College's Institute for Writing & Thinking and Institute for Language & Thinking.

Dana Ward lives in Cincinnati, OH. His most recent book is This Can't Be Life, out from Edge. New books are coming in 2012 from Futurepoem Books, & Flowers and Cream. He loves the month of May.

All proceeds go toward supporting the 80+ events The Poetry Project presents each year.
