In the fall of 2014, Hailey noticed the stark disparity between emerging local artists and "established" performers in the Boston music scene. Hoping to break the barrier that seemed to separate new and established artists, Hailey created a Facebook group - Emerging Boston-Area Singer-Songwriters (EBASS) - where emerging performers could connect, promote their work, and share performance opportunities.. Now, one year later, the group has grown to over 250 members, has sponsored shows and concerts throughout the Boston area, and hosts multiple events each month.
