The 3 Pillars of Agile Testing Strategy

Join us on Thursday, September 24 at 6:30 in Cambridge MA. where experienced Agile coach Bob Galen introduces us to the 3 Pillars Approach to Agile Testing Strategy, a framework for establishing a balanced strategic plan for effective quality and testing. Far too often agile adoptions focus just on the development teams, agile frameworks, or technical practices as a part of their adoption strategies. Often the testing activity and the testing teams are "left behind" in agile strategy development or worse yet, they're simply "along for the ride". That is not an effective transformation strategy. And then there's the near perpetual focus on tooling or developing test automation without striking a balanced approach.
The Three Pillars focus on development and test automation, testing practices, and collaboration activities that will ensure you have a balanced approach to agile testing. Specifically, risk-based testing, exploratory testing, paired collaboration around agile requirements, agile test design, and TDD-BDD-Functional testing automation will be explored as tactic within a balanced Three Pillars framework. You will leave with the tools to immediately initiate or re-tool a much more effective and balanced agile testing strategy.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Bob Galen is an Agile Methodologist, Practitioner & Coach based in Cary, NC. In this role he helps guide companies and teams in their pragmatic adoption and organizational shift towards Scrum and other agile methodologies and practices. He is a Principal Agile Evangelist at Velocity Partners, a leading agile near shore development partner. He is also President and Agile Trainer & Coach at RGCG.
Bob regularly speaks at international conferences and professional groups on topics related to software development, project management, software testing and team leadership. Bob is a Certified Scrum Coach (CSC), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), and an active member ofthe Agile & Scrum Alliances. He's published three agile related books: The Three Pillars of Agile Quality and Testing in 2015, Scrum Product Ownership, in 2009 2'nd Edition in 2013, and Agile Reflections in 2012. Anyone authorized by the event promoter to attend this event is subject to the following Ground Rules as a condition of attendance: There are no refunds for paid events. No audio or video recording permitted. Recording of video and/or audio is grounds for revoking your authorization to attend. You may take pictures. You are required to show up ready to have loads of FUN and engage in lots of LEARNING with lots of other very curious, fun-loving people. By purchasing a ticket and/or attending this meeting (hereafter the Event), you are explicitly authorizing us to capture pictures, video, and audio recordings of your image and voice and to use these recordings in promotion of our events. By purchasing a ticket and/or attending the Event, you are agreeing explicitly to indemnify and hold harmless the following parties from any and all claims, including but not limited to any loss, damage, or legal liability related to attendance: a) the venue provider, b) the event promoters, c) anyone and everyone else even remotely associated with the execution of the Event event in any way, whatsoever.
