Francis Menotti, Matty Whipple and Terry Parrett September 27
Francis Menotti has been described by Teller, the silent half of the magic duo Penn & Teller, as "...the future of magic." And, you will know why when you see his original and unforgettable magic. Menotti's career has brought him all across the U.S., to Paris, London, and Stockholm, Sweden. Francis was honored to perform for President Barack Obama's inauguration and is a frequent performer at Monday Night Magic, as well as the famed The Magic Castle in Hollywood. Come see him at the Parlor of Mystery live on the 27th, then watch him on television on Penn & Teller's Fool Us, which will air on the CW network at 8PM on the 28th. Will he fool Penn and Teller? Maybe, maybe not. But, one thing is for certain, he will fool and throughly entertain us.
Matty Whipple performs comedy, magic, and music at comedy clubs, casinos, college campuses, trade shows, corporate events, and private parties throughout the country and overseas, even entertaining soldiers in Baghdad, Mosul, and Tal Afar, Iraq with the U.S.O. He has agreed to come perform at the Parlor as long as everyone promises not to squeeze the Charmin.
Emcee and one of the Parlor of Mystery producers, Terry Parrett is a magician, mentalist, and professional hypnotist, who has performed for audiences all around the country. He has lectured for other magicians at annual conferences in New York, Albuquerque, Tennessee and Toronto. He just finished consulting on the upcoming feature film "Splinterheads"; has published over 80 articles in various national magic trade publications and was seen on the VH-1 program, "Rock of Ages."
The Parlor of Mystery's home is the South Shore Theatre Experience in Lindenhurst. It's the perfect place to experience parlor and close-up magic. It is small black box theatre with comfortable tiered seating for 45. The Parlor of Mystery is one of many productions that take place at the South Shore Theatre Experience, which is located at 315 West Montauk Highway in Lindenhurst. The South Shore Theatre Experience is a non- profit organization that produces original works and theatre classics as well as conducting acting classes & workshops.
Parlor of Mystery shows take place on the fourth Sunday of every month with different magicians performing different effects. Tickets are $15
and available on-line and at the door, however space is limited.
