Change - Collage 2016 - San Diego Civic Dance

San Diego Civic Dance Company invites you to their critically acclaimed dance show in the beautiful and historic Casa del Prado Theatre in Balboa Park. Winner of the 2014 Bravo award for best dance show in San Diego and finalist for this year's Bravo Award, Collage 2016 delivers a show that is certain to impress. Breathtaking costumes, imaginative set pieces, gorgeous theatrical lighting, and 85 professionally trained dancers performing in various dance styles such as tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, modern and musical theater. Also featured this year is a piece by internationally recognized choreographer Mark Morris from the New York City based Mark Morris Dance Group. "Polka" premiered in New York City in 1992 and permission for the San Diego Civic Dance Company to learn and perform this complex piece was granted by the Mark Morris Dance Group with Megan Williams, Mark Morris' rehearsal assistant, coming out to stage the piece on the Company this past July. Show is 2 hours with a 15 minute intermission.
