Looking for something different to do on New Year's Eve? Check out the Arcata Playhouse and Speakeasy with host Jacqueline Dandeneau and a variety of special musical guests.

Music, theater and dancing all come together on New Year's Eve for a special performance of Speakeasy, beginning at 9:00 p.m. The Playhouse will be transformed into a 1930's Speakeasy for an evening of songs and comic monologues with Jackie Dandeneau, Tim Randles on piano, Marla Joy on sax and bass and Tim Grayon drums. Music from Blossom Dearie, Louis Prima, Norah Jones, Jane Siberry, Kurt Weill to name a few. Then, in true Speakeasy form, we'll push the tables back and dance the old year away with The Bayou Swamis, Julie and Curtis Thompson, Gwen Post, Gregg Moore, Julie Froblum, the Brendas and more musical guest surprises.

Ring in the New Year with a cavalcade of fantastic musicians, good friends and the Arcata Playhouse. Snacks, drinks, party favors and midnight champagne will be there too.

Tickets $20 single or $99 for a table of four which includes a bottle of wine.
