Town Mountain's hard drivin' bluegrass sound, tight harmonies, and stellar in-house songwriting have become the band's trademark. They light up the stage with their honky-tonk edge and barroom swagger, featuring a Jimmy Martin-style bounce and confidence that is countered at times by a laid-back John Hartford-esque groove.

SURVIVING KENNEALLYS
The Surviving Kenneallys are a bluegrass punk americana band based in Somerville and Cambridge MA. Originally founded as a duo by Joseph Kenneally and Jesse Wellman, the band has since expanded into a six piece outfit with Brighid McHugh-Mullane on the fiddle, Ryan Dalley on guitar, Ian Dalley on bass, and Stephen Boyd on Mandolin. Their music encompasses a wide variety of American styles, with a focus on a bluegrass and folk. At shows, expect to see a heavy focus on songwriter Joseph Kenneally's songs, with a mix of popular covers ranging from Modest Mouse to Queen.

MILE TWELVE
Mile Twelve is a fresh and innovative new voice in contemporary bluegrass music.  Based in Boston, MA they are fast gaining recognition for their outstanding performances in New England bluegrass and folk circles.  Combining a love for traditional bluegrass with songwriting skills honed at renowned music schools, they present a refined and powerful musical directive.  With influences from folk, jazz, old-time and bluegrass music, the band's original songs are a timely continuation of the bluegrass string band tradition. The band features Evan Murphy on lead vocals and guitar, Bronwyn Keith-Hynes on fiddle, Catherine (BB) Bowness on banjo and Nate Sabat on bass.  Mile Twelve's youthful energy and mature musicianship result in captivating and memorable performances.

MORE ON TOWN MOUNTAIN
The past two years have pushed Town Mountain into the upper tier of acoustic bands and they have found themselves at some of the most prestigious festivals in the country such as MerleFest, Grey Fox, Rockygrass, Suwannee Springfest and the Targhee Bluegrass Festival earning them a nomination for IBMA's 2014 Emerging Artist of The Year, a natural follow up to their two 2013 IBMA Momentum Awards.

"Sporting a sound rooted in string band tradition but with a fearsome instrumental drive that makes its music anything but a museum piece, the band has watched its audiences grow younger, larger and more feverishly enthusiastic." - Walter Tunis,Kentucky.com

"There was such an instant energetic spirit felt from this band, that made you want to kick up your heels and promenade around the square at a barn dance all night long." - Tanya Vega, Southside On The Town Blog

"Town Mountain play a high-energy, crowd-pleasin' brand of bluegrass." - Jeffrey Sisk, The Daily News

"Town Mountain is flat loaded with talent. The band delivers its grass both new and old style. With Robert Greer singing lead, the vocals come across as authentic, even as the lyrics stretch well beyond the traditional boundaries." - The Roanoke Times

"This, my friends, is how bluegrass is supposed to sound." - David Morris, Bluegrass Today

"Town Mountain is on the make. Coming out of the same NC scene that produced the Steep Canyon Rangers and Chatham County Line, this Asheville quintet is one of those bands that should make tradition-minded fans comfortable that the burning historic core of the music is alive and well." - Music City Roots
