Michael Cooney and Pat Egan
Two special Irish shows from Michael Cooney and Pat Egan! Michael is well-known to St Louis Irish fans: he lived here for many years and made hundreds of friends with his music. Michael Cooney was destined to play the pipes; he was raised in a family of Highland pipers from Co. Tipperary. He began as a child, on the whistle, and soon made a name for himself on the uilleann pipes. His good friend (and ours), Pat Egan, is well known to St Louis listeners as well: his masterful guitar and sensitive singing voice have made a name for him here and abroad. The two of them have played together many years, have a great respect for and knowledge of each other's style, and intend to vary these two performances with guests from their many musical adventures here. Come to both shows; there will be variety enough to interest everyone.
