We Are All Immigrants
Seattle Peace Chorus presents We Are All Immigrants. Through music and spoken word, this concert will honor the rich diversity of cultures woven into the fabric of American life. The chorus will perform songs from the Native American tradition, from the British Isles, from African, European, and Latin American countries, with each piece sung in the language of its country of origin. The chorus will also perform a suite of spirituals, a powerful touchstone relaying the sorrows, joys and faith of the enslaved immigrants of African descent.
