Writing a Producible Script: with Howard Allen
Seminar September 17th, 2011: Write what you have access to.  Writing the next "Avatar" is great, if you have the resources like James Cameron to make it.  We Indie filmmakers need to be much more mindful of our choices if we ever hope to have our films actually produced.

Learn from professional Howard Allen, aka The Script Doctor and producer at CoyoteMoon Films, how to write quality film scripts that are also producible. Match your resources to your screenplay.   This seminar will look at successful movies with low budgets and indie film audience potential.  What can an excellent movie use instead of explosions, CGI effects and casts of thousands?

What Will Be Covered:
- What every good script needs, my "patented tools"
- How producers look at your screenplay
- An in-depth study of the films: Wendy & Lucy (with Michelle Williams), The Graves (Phoenix own Mischief Makers Studio)
- Other important Indie storytelling lessons from films Greenberg, and Winter's Bone
- How to really embrace the short film format, and give it punch
- Bring your toughest questions
