Through a Jones Lens: Historic Harbor Highlights
From 1880 through 2003 four generations of the Jones family operated the Jones Photo Studio, first in Oregon and then in Hoquiam and Aberdeen after 1913. In 2003 the Jones Photo Historical Collection was purchased by Anderson Middleton and went online in 2006. This is a repeat of the first-ever public presentation of historic Jones Photos held on May 21st, being shown again due to popular request, and will feature over 200 slides categorized by such subjects as Timber, Lumber Production, Cities, Disasters, Shopping, Sports, Transportation, Maritime and more, from the 1880s through the 1970s. The slideshow will be narrated by local businessman Tom Quigg, and is a 7th Street Theatre fundraiser for a lighted neon candlestick sign.
