This event takes place at the Rat's Nest in Ballard: 5305 Shilshole Ave NW, Seattle, WA 98107. You will receive a confirmation email with more information about the venue. Hi Bootcampers! Camp will take place at the Rat's Nest at 5305 Shilshole Ave, Seattle, WA 98107 in Ballard. The Rat's Nest is in the Stimson Marina next to Seattle Gymnastics Academy. Our floor is a bit slippery, so if you have a set of pusher wheels in the 88 to 92 range, please at least bring them. If you'd like to share drills and concepts with your league at home, be sure to bring a notebook and a pen so you can take some notes. Bring shoes for a brief off-skates workout where we'll cover some of the best injury preventing exercises we know. Also, bring lots of food! We'll be skating for long periods, so we want you to snack at water breaks. We have a fridge where you can store food, and we have a small kitchen with a sink to refill water bottles and a microwave to heat up lunches. We're so excited to have you at our bootcamp! All-Star Bootcamp

Skaters from the Rat City All-Stars will help you hone your skills in a two-day bootcamp with beginner and advanced level classes.

The Intermediate/Advanced level camp will focus on the most current strategies in derby. We'll cover advanced individual skills like hockey stops, sternum blocks, juking, and footwork.

The beginner classes will focus on developing strong foundational skills and a deeper understanding of the game. We will focus on hitting, skating form, and positioning.

Coaches who wish to attend off-skates to learn drills and strategy may purchase a Coach ticket.

Camp will feature on-skates sessions led by current all-star skaters as well as off-skates sessions to address cross-training and injury prevention (bring running/tennis shoes!).

We are happy to offer skater-hosted housing for campers from out of town. Please indicate in your registration if you will need housing.

Please bring a water bottle, snacks, money for lunch/dinner at a local restaurant, a notebook and pen, tennis shoes and all required derby gear and skates.

Date and Time: Saturday, October 8 and Sunday, October 9

Beginner Class: Saturday 9 am to 1 pm and Sunday 1 pm to 5 pm
Intermediate Class: Saturday 1 pm to 5 pm and Sunday 9 am to 1 pm

*We will cover basic/foundational skills. However, we request that all participants are able to skate with cross-overs and to give and receive contact.

Pregunta:	Juniors welcome?
Respuesta:	We have permission from USARS and WFTDA for juniors to attend this camp. We will need junior skaters to pair with one another for contact drills.

Pregunta:	Angee, So I am fresh meat for sure and will be getting my gear in about a week. This means that there is a very short window to get my skills up to the level for the boot camp. Will there be another boot camp in the near future? Thanks, E
Respuesta:	We hold this bootcamp annually, so hopefully you can come next year!

Pregunta:	I have payed the USARS fee, but it has not been processed yet. So I don't have a USARS number. What should I do?
Respuesta:	If you have not already contacted me via email, please email Glitter at glitterrevolutionaries@gmail.com because she is handling insurance for this event.

Pregunta:	i'd like to participate in your event, but i coach and would prefer to not be on skates. how should i register?
Respuesta:	We've had many similar inquiries, so we've now added a Coach ticket. You'll observe the camp and have a round-table discussion with current All-Star coach and captains.
