Her Body Writes
Through poetry, music, and dance, this show will explore the complexities and weights of inhabiting female bodies. Featuring a number of young, female-identifying artists, this show will explore: mother-daughter relationships; the body as home; control and the joy of loosening control over our bodies; escaping the grip of traditional ideas of femaleness or maleness; and more. We aim to provide variety, release, exploration, and new ways of reflecting on the bodies that we carry. To somehow put words to the often-wordless experience of owning these bodies as our homes.
