'Into the Meadow' Prix Fixe Dinner Benefit

Wombat Theatre Co, in conjunction with Seth Wallin present an originally-designed prix fixe dinner benefiting our next production, Shakespeare's Henry IV Part I, at a local Brooklyn restaurant:

From the Chef:
"Food from the ground will be its most flavorful during its peak season. With this in mind, the chef has crafted a menu to fully utilize the seasonal ingredients available at the Union Square Farmer's Market. And as a result, all of the food will take the shortest possible journey to your plate. Work your way through the four course meal in the cozy interior of Cafe Ghia in Bushwick, rented out to keep the evening quiet, private, and classy."

Menu:

Almost all ingredients will be bought from the Union Square Farmer's Market, as close as possible to the actual dinner time.

Medley bread basket with homemade jam.

Strawberry-rhubarb gazpacho, topped with feta.

The 3-by-3: three vegetables done in three different ways, thin-sliced and piled high. Sautéed zucchini, deep-fried eggplant, and heirloom tomato confit, sitting on a fresh made pesto sauce.

Baked gnocchi in a smoked paprika gruyere sauce with fried sage.

In the Pasture: Marinated beef served among a lightly dressed meadow of greens and radishes.

Dessert is to be determined based upon produce selection and freshness.

Beers, wine, and a specialty paired cocktail will be available, with the first one on the house with your ticket purchase. So come out to eat, drink, and be merry, all while supporting Wombat Theatre's production of Henry IV Part 1.
