Cherylyn Lavagnino Dance - 8th Annual Season, June 1 & 2

Contemporary ballet company Cherylyn Lavagnino Dance's 8th Annual Season will feature the World Premiere of "Body Talk", a collaboration with composer Guillermo Brown who will perform his original score live onstage. This new ballet echoes the current culture's obsession with video games and the pixilated visual quality that creates broken images.

Also on the program will be the quartet "Will" (2009) with a new score composed and performed by Jane Chung on electric violin with amplification. "Snapshots" (2009), a ballet that deals with shattered notions of humanity in response to photos of American mistreatment of Iraqi prisoners, will be performed with live accompaniment by percussionist Kyle Olson. "Ménage" (2010) features an original score co-composed by Scott Killian, Jacob Lawson, and Jane Chung.
