Today The Lizard Lounge presents a new venture, featuring a newly designed brunch menu and the music of renowned drummer Jean-marie Corrois and his quartet. For the French born Corrois, drumming has been a true love story. Inherently attracted as a child by a wide range of music, his current focus is more organic a blending of Jazz, Latin, African, Brazilian and Indian rhythms. Specific grooves and their influences in the history of music have brought hope, joy and courage to humanity despite centuries of human struggles. When Jean-marie performs, he is sharing his love for diversity, blending the cultural colors of original music with his audience. More than 20 years of performance and teaching in Europe, and now five years in the United States, he has had the opportunity to connect with a wide spectrum of world musicians.
