MTC's Introduction to Musical Theatre
Intro to Musical Theatre (Mini Musical) (Ages 5-10) Tuesday 6/7 & 6/14 Tuesday 6/21 & 6/28 12:30 pm- 2:00pm 4 week session: June 7 -June 28
This introduction into the world of musical theatre will take you on a journey through song, dance and acting. You will learn the basics of stage terminology, acting and vocal techniques. At the end of the session you and your fellow cast members will perform for family and friends.
Instructor: Gemma McKenney has a degree in Vocal Music Education from San Francisco State University and has been teaching voice at McLaughlin Studios for 3 years. She focuses on Classical, Pop and Musical Theater styles of teaching. She has been involved in music performance all her life, and has had leading roles in many musicalsher favorite role was Marian Paroo The Music Man. This will be her 4th musical in which she has been the directorGemma is honored to be a part of the launch of MTC!
