This class will bridge the gap between your short-form work and your long. Improv and Sketch are excellent tools for generating Pilot and Feature material that not many professional screenwriters have at their beck and call.
Students will flesh out ideas with a mind toward the current comedy marketplace and learn some of the skills necessary to compete for studio-level projects. The class will meet each student where they're at, covering everything from the basic formatting of screenplays to the art of pitching both your original ideas as well as sculpting a pitch based on existing properties. Extensive notes will be given on any and all pages finished during the course with an eye on aiming to complete full scripts.
