Robby Wicks and Garrick Rawlings

Robby Wicks is a stellar songwriter, musician, and performer with hundreds of original songs and over a thousand performances under his belt. His original music has always had an infectious quality to it. With his intriguing melodies and strong lyrical craftsmanship, his songs seem to stick with you. His influences range widely from Bob Dylan, Leadbelly, and James Taylor to Blind Melon, Bob Marley, and Ween. Robby is always looking for new and exciting opportunities to perform and share his music, and we are pleased he chose Fidd's as one of his tour stops!

Garrick Rawlings is an Americana artist chasing striking blends of folk, rock, country, cowboy, jazz, punk, blues in songs both written and covered. Born in Wichita Kansas, raised in Sturgis, Michigan, then Kalamazoo, on to Chicago IL, Southern CA, and now Prescott, Arizona. Began as a hard rock electric guitar player emulating the high energy rock out of Detroit, fell in love with the blues in Chicago. A move out west to L.A. to play some rock and roll somehow turned into being folk legend and Grammy award winning Ramblin' Jack Elliott's road manager, opener and sidekick for a while; evolving into a singer/songwriter solo artist in the process. Elliott is widely regarded as the link between Woody Guthrie and Bob Dylan. While in L.A.; G.R. had the good fortune of getting to know and open shows for world-class songwriters / guitarists Dave Alvin and Rick Shea, some of the best California has to offer. A Garrick Rawlings show is best described as Neil Young & Johnny Cash meet the MC5 riding horseback through the desert chasing Woody, Ramblin' Jack, Townes Van Zandt, Led Zeppelin, Tom Russell, John Prine, Guy Clark and a mariachi band at some obscure, magnificent, raging campfire.

Robby's set is from 8 to 9:10pm. We will have a short break for coffee refills and hobnobbing with the artist, then Garrick Rawlings will begin his set at 9:20pm.
