The Sun Kings

Arena Theater and the Point Arena Merchants Association will present the Flower Power Concert, featuring Beatles tribute The Sun Kings on Saturday March 12 at 8:00 PM. The concert is part of the Annual Flower Power Festival and Daffodil Explosion on March 12 and 13.
For years the Bay Area's own Sun Kings have been thrilling packed houses and outdoor festivals with their musical tribute to The Beatles around Northern California. Their attention to detail is uncanny and their energy reminiscent of the joy and excitement felt at a real Beatles concert. Every member of The Sun Kings has been a huge Beatles fan since childhood. As they pursued their individual musical endeavors, pre-Sun Kings, they all counted The Beatles as their biggest influence. To be part of this musical tribute feels as natural as walking to them. Don't expect to see John, Paul, George, or Ringo look-alikes. Do expect to hear your favorite Beatles songs performed brilliantly, as you've come to know and love them. And of course, expect to have a FAB-ulous time!
The Sun Kings repertoire contains over 100 Beatles songs spanning The Beatles entire musical career from "She Loves You" to "I am the Walrus" to Side 2 of Abbey Road.
The concert will also feature a 60s era costume contest including three grand prizes for best costume.
Doors open at 7:00 PM and the Arena Theater bar and snack stand will be open.
Tickets are $18.00, $3.00 off for members with card, available online and at local ticket vendors. Youth (13 and under) $8 at door or though the office.
