Trail of Blood - 2011 OFF

A young Marine enlistee, Jim (Tim Barraco: 'NCIS'), and his friends' camping trip is interrupted when they stumble upon a gruesome murder scene, and the group is accused of committing the crimes by a deranged Iraq War veteran (Trevor Torseth: 'Lake Dead') and his zombie-like girlfriend (Maggie VandenBerghe: 'Aliens In The Attic'). Unbeknownst to Jim and his friends, these two are the real murderers, hiding out in the woods after a sadistic, multi-state killing spree. According to the FBI agents on their trail (Robert Picardo: 'Stargate: Atlantis,' 'Star Trek: Voyager' and Ray Campbell: 'The Shield'), the veteran who identifies himself as the 'Angel of Death' is determined to re-enact the horrors of war on anyone who crosses his path through a series of torturous mind games.

As the 'Angel of Death's' nihilistic intent is revealed, Jim realizes he must act to protect his friends from a cruel death at the hands of these deranged killers. He bravely engages in the dangerous, sadistic games the 'Angel of Death' challenges him to play. But Jim's adversary proves tougher than he ever could have imagined, and he soon realizes that the battle will not end until one of them is dead.

From Executive Producer, Joe Dante ('The Howling,' 'Gremlins,' 'Small Soldiers') comes 'Trail of Blood,' the feature film debut of writer/directors Joseph Guerrieri and Justin Guerrieri. This psychological thriller is a cautionary tale about the nature of violence, and a subversive, disturbing commentary on our times.
