Malcolm Dalglish in Concert: The Wild Wild Word Show
A marvelous blend of rhyme, rhythm and song, Malcolm Dalglish's family show combines story ballads and physical humor with the mesmerizing sounds of hammer dulcimer and virtuoso spoon and bones playing. His original compositions emphasize the magical rhythmic texture of the dulcimer while the songs voice the simple lyricism, modes and melodies of traditional folk music. His stories range from anecdotal to folktale, embellished with body percussion. Our relationship with the natural world is a unifying theme of his work. An internationally renowned composer and recording artist, Malcolm Dalglish leaves audiences of all ages with a new appreciation for hammer dulcimer and the music of words.
