I am not afraid to admit it; pairing cheese with wine freaks me out. There are so many different types of cheese from the make to the milk to the terroir. Add that to the amount of wine varietals that exist and it will make your head spin. So, where do we begin?
First we get an expert in the name of Max McCalman to visit The Barnyard. No man I know has attempted more pairings of cheese with wine than him. He has made it his Academic.
Then we throw out any notions of a rule book. Every palate is a snow flake. Everybody's food and drink history is unique onto his or her own.
At this event titled Max Faktor Session 1 we will inspire awareness for what you taste, how it makes you feel and what you can do about it moving forward. We will arm you with descriptors that empower you next time you visit a cheese shop or the wine store. We will make you better friends with your palate.
