How to Avoid Brain Drain as you age -- Sonja S.. Glassmeyer, PHD
This will be a fun, interactive workshop to increase your brain's performance and lower your brain age. We will have fun playing by performing research-based brain exercises in memory retention, in concentration and in lateral thinking, the perception part of thinking. This is where we organize the external world into the pieces we can then process.
We will also explore "mind wreckers"; the relationship between physical exercise and brain function; eating smart for brain health; role of mindfulness; distractions, multitasking and technology as it relates to brain health.
Sonja Glassmeyer, PHD is a Professor Emerita Cal Poly, College of Science and Math; Health Educator. Certified Gerontologist. Areas of expertise include brain health, adult wellness - prevention and self-care.
This course has two sessions. Purchasing one ticket entitles you to attend both sessions of this course.
