The 3rd Annual Red Hook Prom 2015 (a prom for grown-ups!)

Now in its third year, THE RED HOOK PROM is an annual 80's themed dance party and auction in support of the pay-what-you-can dance programs of Shannon Hummel/Cora Dance. Shannon Hummel/Cora Dance offers outstanding professional performances and classes year-round in Red Hook and beyond to thousands of audience members and students. No one is ever turned away from Cora based on what or if they can pay and this prom is not different!! Admission is on a sliding scale (suggested $100; minimum $5) for a night just like you remember from high school. only better. Less teen angst, less crying in the bathroom and less inhibition on the dance floor because, HEY... THE PUNCH IS SPIKED! Food, prizes, a kickin' silent auction, lots of dancing and of course, "classy" prom decor. It's a chance to party the way you were always meant to... LIKE A GROWN UP!
The 80's Crew Returns for the Party of the Decade!
We once again return to South Brooklyn Community High School for an evening of elegance and romance that only a real high school gym can provide! In addition, our best friends are back to make this evening a night to remember:

After spinning the '80s hits that just won't quit to over 500 dancing fools at the past two Red Hook Proms, DJ Body Rock is back by popular demand to keep you dancing - as Lionel Richie would say - "all night long"! Have your dedications ready!
Lasha Kelly from Elements Hair Studio will be available to get you set in your finest '80s hair and make-up so you can be totally radical.
The professional dancers and students from Shannon Hummel/Cora Dance will be leading the crowd in, like, totally awesome performances!
On this night, Cora will also hold an incredible Silent Auction with amazing trips (I hear there's a safari in South Africa up for grabs this year?!? WHAT??!?) plus artwork, classes, services and other coveted goodies ranging in value from $20 to $5000. There's something for everyone!
